EMO-style desktop companion robots — OEM & custom development
Buyers who search for EMO usually want one of three things: the same form factor under their own brand, a lower-cost version for their market, or a character of their own on the same interaction model. All three are hardware projects — a screen face, a head that turns, a microphone array, firmware and a cloud model — and that is the part we do in-house.
Who usually comes to us
Brands adding a companion line
A desktop robot that fits the shelf next to your existing products, without building an AI hardware team.
Distributors and importers
A form factor your retail buyers already recognise, sourced directly from the team that engineers it.
IP holders and toy companies
Your character on a screen face, with persona, voice and guardrails built to your style guide.
Kickstarter and DTC founders
A engineering partner who can take a working prototype through certification and into a first production run.
What actually decides whether it feels like a companion
The face, not the screen
A round AMOLED with a fast expression engine — blinks, glances, moods that follow the sentence. A slow or generic animation set is what makes a robot read as a gadget.
Head motion with a real motor
A gimbal that turns toward the speaker and nods on replies. It is also the first thing that fails in cheap builds: gearboxes get noisy within months.
Voice that answers in under a second
Offline wake word, far-field microphones and streamed LLM replies. Latency, not model size, is what a buyer notices on the desk.
A shell that survives shipping
Structure, drop test, and the safety file for the markets you sell into — designed for the regulations rather than claiming certificates we do not hold.

Questions buyers ask
Are you affiliated with EMO?
No. We are an independent OEM/ODM manufacturer. EMO is a product of another company; we build comparable desktop companion robots under our clients’ own brands and designs.
Can you copy the EMO design exactly?
No. We build to your own industrial design. What we replicate is the interaction model — screen face, head motion, voice — not another company’s protected design.
What is the minimum order?
It depends on the route: white-label on a production model, a new shell, or full custom. We quote quantity together with the project rather than publishing a number that would not hold.
How long does a project take?
Tooling runs about 1–1.5 months with engineering in parallel; the total schedule depends on the specification and is quoted once the scope is fixed.
Tell us what you want to build
The category, your market, a quantity and whether an IP is involved is plenty for a first answer. Samples available; proven products are available as OEM, custom ones as ODM. Development and sample arrangements are agreed together once we understand the project.
